Here’s What Melanie Griffith Thinks of Dakota Johnson Dating Chris Martin

Melanie Griffith, who’s Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson’s mom, recently opened up about her 28-year-old daughter’s new beau when asked if she ever gave the actress any dating advice.
“I adore him!” Melanie, 60, gushed during the Global Gift Foundation USA Women’s Empowerment Luncheon. “But she is very private about her life and I respect that.”

Dakota and Chris, 41, first sparked romance rumors last year when they were spotted on a sushi date in Los Angeles.
The pair continued to fuel dating speculations when they were photographed canoodling in Paris that December. Day later, they were seen visiting Dakota’s mom for the holidays in Aspen, Colo.
“They’ve been dating since early October and spend most nights hanging out at his house and laying low,” a source told Entertainment Tonight. “His friends already love her and see how happy she makes him.”

Chris was previously married to Gwyneth Paltrow — with whom he shares daughter Apple, 13, and son Moses, 11 — from 2003 until 2014. He was romantically linked to Jennifer Lawrence from 2014 to 2015.
Meanwhile, Dakota was in a relationship with singer Matthew Hitt from 2014 to 2016.
