9 Backhanded Compliments Parents Get at Restaurants 9 Backhanded Compliments Parents Get at Restaurants Before I had children, I used to love going out to dinner. I would pick out the perfect outfit, my girlfriends and I would drink our favorite cocktails, and I would eat (and actually enjoy) food without a care in the world. But when kids do come, dinner outings just aren't the same. Gone are the cute outfits and funny cocktail conversation, and instead come bulky diaper bags and nicely worded threats to "eat your dinner now." And total strangers suddenly become very interested in why you're out to eat with all your children. Through talking to other moms, I've discovered nine backhanded "compliments" people think it's OK to say to parents while dining out with children. This particular tiny home, known as MedCottage, is set up to serve as a portable hospital room — complete with hand railings, remote monitoring, lighted floorboards, soft tile floors to minimize damage from falls, and a fully stocked first-aid cabinet. The small cottage is roughly 12 by 24 feet, which is enough space for a bed..

Jamie Foxx Has the Best Response When Asked About His Relationship With Katie Holmes

Jamie Foxx isn't here for awkward questions about his personal life. The 50-year-old actor was asked about his five-year private romance with Katie Holmes during a recent interview with ESPN's SportsCenter host, Michael Smith, and let's just say it didn't go over too well. Instead of answering questions about how he spent Valentine's Day playing basketball with the former Dawson's Creek actress, the Oscar winner paused before taking off his headphones and abruptly walking off, effectively ending the interview. "Did we lose him?" Michael can be heard asking in the background of in the clip. Luckily, Jamie did stick around to play against Justin Bieber in the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game. Maybe next time keep the questions — on a sports-related show — related to sports? Maybe. don't ask jamie about katie, fam pic.twitter.com/E8hfdiBtGj — KEITHFUJIMOTO (@oakleyandallen) February 16, 2018
