Look what’s back, back again. Fanny packs, tell a friend…because you are going to want to take advantage of this fashion trend while it lasts. There is no greater friend to a man than a handy bag that is easily accessible.

Backpacks are bulky, obnoxious, and unprofessional. Pockets are small, uncomfortable, and distract from the crotch bulge. Cargo pants have never been in style, except for those few poor saps exploring the Amazon.

Up until the ‘80s there was no better alternative. Even then it was so uncool that most people didn’t dare make use of them out of fear of being ostracized, that is until now. If celebs can make fanny packs cool then there could be actual progress on the horizon for our culture. I am really optimistic for this change because the fanny pack that Rita Ora is wearing does not even look like the most ridiculous piece of her attire. Compared to the hooded potato sack she has on, the fanny pack looks legit.

If anyone in advertising needs help coming up with a campaign, I will offer up my services. My first suggestion is that it be compared to Batman’s utility belt. Nothing is more cool or masculine than that.
