Before my mum passed away, she gave my dad strict instructions to water the plants in the bathroom. He's been religiously watering them & keeping them alive. Death doesn't have to be solely sad. Take it from Antonia Nicol's parents: there can be humor mixed in, too.
In a viral tweet, Antonia recounted that before her mom passed away, "she gave my dad strict instructions to water the plants in the bathroom."
Ever the dutiful husband, he kept his promise and has "been religiously watering them and keeping them alive," Antonia wrote. "They looked so amazing he decided to take him to his new home, only to discover they are plastic!"
We can only imagine Antonia's mom was a bit of a prankster, and we're relieved everyone had a good laugh over the fake ferns. As she put it: "Can hear my mum chuckling."
