Why Chris O’Dowd thought he’d be fired from Nick Hornby flick

Chris O’Dowd thought he was going to be fired from his latest film after the birth of his son — because the due date pushed back the start date of production.
The actor, who welcomed son Valentine with wife Dawn O’Porter in July, said at a panel for the Nick Hornby adaptation “Juliet, Naked” at Sundance’s Café Artois: “When we were due to shoot, we were also due, so we had to put [the movie] back a bit. I was very much expecting to be fired, but it was much nicer than that.”
