Whoopi Goldberg Joins Tyler Perry’s ‘The List’
EGOT holder Whoopi Goldberg has added her name to ‘The List’, the drama from Tyler Perry, which is being mounted at Paramount Players. She will join Tiffany Haddish, Tika Sumpter, and Omari Hardwick in the film, out November 2.

Written by Perry, who will also direct and produce, the film follows a woman (Haddish) who gets released from prison and reunited with her sister, who is forced to accept that she may be getting “catfished” by an online boyfriend.
The pic marks Goldberg’s return to a studio feature since appearing in two Paramount film in 2014: Chris Rock’s Top Five and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It’s also a reunion for Goldberg and Perry as The View co-host starred in his 2010 drama For Colored Girls.
