Aaron Feis, the assistant football coach and a security guard at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL, sacrificed his life to save his students during the school shooting that has claimed 17 lives so far. According to a report from CNN, Aaron threw himself in front of three girls to protect them from the shooter and subsequently lost his life in the process.

Another anonymous student told Fox News that Aaron didn't hesitate to lay down his life for his students, saying, "He sprinted with everything he had towards it to make sure everybody was safe, and I heard that he got in front of a couple people and shielded them, and he actually took the bullets for them."
"He died the same way he lived — he put himself second," said Denise Lehtio, a spokesperson for the school's football program. "He was a very kind soul, a very nice man. He died a hero."
Aaron left behind his wife and his daughter. Our thoughts are with his family.
