Story About Justin Bieber Spending “Alone Time” With Selena Gomez For His Birthday Is Made-Up

A new story asserting Justin Bieber wants to spend some “alone time” with Selena Gomez on his birthday is completely made-up. Gossip Cop can correct this fabricated claim, which was posted by HollywoodLife, a website that’s already published a string of untrue articles involving Bieber’s 24th birthday.

According to the often discredited outlet, the star is asking for a “much more meaningful” birthday present this year. In the report, a so-called “source” is quoted as telling the online publication, “Justin gets to be in love and with the girl he has always wanted to be with for his birthday. He doesn’t need any lavish gifts from her, he just wants to spend some alone time with her.” And if that wasn’t enough, the blog’s most assuredly fake “insider” is further quoted as saying, “Granted, if she has anything planned as a surprise for him he will love it because he loves spending any time he can with her. He really is totally invested in their relationship.”

But as Gossip Cop noted above, this newest claim is just the latest in a slew of bogus stories posted by the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies about Bieber’s birthday on March 1. Remember, we corrected the unreliable website when it claimed Gomez was planning a “romantic surprise” for Bieber’s big day. In that story, the outlet even alleged the singer-actress reached out to Scooter Braun to help organize the party, but Bieber’s manager is yet to confirm the claim.

And we’re hardly surprised by its piece of fiction. Gossip Cop previously corrected HollywoodLies for falsely guessing Bieber and Gomez were spending Thanksgiving together, celebrating Christmas with each other, and celebrating the New Year in New York. Each and every report was wrong, and predictably, the same goes for this latest one. A source close to the situation tells us the story is 100 percent “made-up,” as no one remotely close to either star is feeding the site with private information about the couple.

In reality, the outlet is taking yet another stab in the dark by guessing what Bieber will be doing on his 24th birthday, but no one from his trusted inner circle would divulge that kind of information with a website Bieber himself once tried to shut down for being “garbage” and “untruthful.” While it’s likely the couple will be spending time together for Bieber’s birthday, the serial fabricators at HollywoodLife are completely clueless as to how they’ll be celebrating the special occasion. It’s all lies.
