Stormy Daniels Gets Cease-&-Desist Letter; Melania Trump Spokesperson Breaks Silence
The attorney for Michael Cohen has sent a cease-and-desist letter to Stormy Daniels, claiming that she and her attorney Michael Avenatti made “false and defamatory statements” in the 60 Minutes interview that aired Sunday night. During the interview, Daniels told Anderson Cooper that threats made her agree to take $130,000 from Donald Trump attorney Cohen to remain silent about her affair with Trump.

In the letter, Cohen attorney Brent H. Blakely demanded that Avenatti and Daniels apologize for insinuating that his client was behind the threat she described that allegedly took place in a Las Vegas parking lot in 2011. Daniels said in the interview that an unidentified man told her: “Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.” She said he then leaned around and looked at her daughter and said, “That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.”
Blakely also demanded that Avenatti and Daniels “make clear that you have no facts or evidence whatsoever to support your allegations that my client had anything whatsoever to do with this alleged thug.”
Meanwhile, while Melania Trump has remained silent about her husband’s alleged affair with Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, the first lady’s spokesperson Stephanie Grisham released a statement after the 60 Minutes interview aired.
“While I know the media is enjoying speculation & salacious gossip, Id like to remind people there’s a minor child who’s [sic] name should be kept out of news stories when at all possible,” Grisham wrote on Twitter.
