In his note on Friday, George thanked the Parkland, FL, students for making "the country a safer place" and praised them for the amazing work that they're doing. "The fact that no adults will speak on the stage in DC is a powerful message to the world that if we can't do something about gun violence, then you will," George wrote. "It's a once in a lifetime opportunity to point to this moment and say it belongs to you. You certainly should do what you want, but that would be my hope for you." 44602741 Back in February, George and Amal donated a whopping $500,000 to the cause, and shortly after, Amal attended the Watermark Conference For Women in San Jose, CA, where she delivered a touching speech about the bravery of Parkland students. As questions about Facebook's commitment to individual privacy continue to swirl in the wake of the Cambridge Analytica scandal and the #DeleteFacebook movement continues to become a reality, it's pretty safe to say that thousands — if not millions — are currently judging their stance on the platform's viability going forward. But amid an overabundance of thinkpieces and exclusive interviews about the matter, on March 21 the BBC quietly rereleased a 2009 interview with Facebook CEO and founder Mark Zuckerberg, and it may help provide a little clarity on how horribly wrong the whole thing has gone. There's one exchange in particular (starting at around the one minute and 14 second mark) that takes place between Zuckerberg and journalist Laura Trevelyan, though, that will leave your jaw on the floor: TREVELYAN: You say there's a contradiction between people wanting to share information online, and wanting to control it. Why? ZUCKERBERG: Well, I mean, I think e..

This Theory About Snape’s Boggart Has Us in Tears

8 years ago Lily Garner
A stunning revelation of a beloved Harry Potter character has come to light, and, honestly, it makes total sense to us. Professor Snape is one of the series's most mysterious characters. All through the series, we watch Snape get the best of our three heroes, and now, a fan theory has surfaced to add more to Professor Snape's tragic storyline. The question of Snape's Boggart came up in a March 2004 Q&A for J.K. Rowling's World Book Day Chat via The Leaky Cauldron. (Just as a refresher, a Boggart is a magical creature that transforms into someone's greatest fear. No one knows the true form of a Boggart, as it shape shifts to terrify whomever is in front of them.) In the Q&A, a fan asked Rowling about the form Snape's Boggart takes. "I'm not going to tell you . . . but that's because it would give so much away," said Rowling. The author really knows how to magically get out of a question! But the idea has come up again in a Reddit post started..

8 years ago Fiona Watkins
Throughout her career, Angelina Jolie has been an icon of fashion and beauty, from her elegant tattoos to her signature red lip. In a recent interview with InStyle, however, we learned that her iconic beauty nature extends to more daring trends as well . . . Sharpie-dyed hair anyone? Angelina revealed that when she was younger, she used to bleach and then color her strands with a permanent marker, which is an awesome punk move. While Angelina experimented with badass beauty trends when she was younger, she recognizes that with social media, young people today have a new set of challenges. "It's funny — I feel like decades ago, to be different was actually the thing you wanted. Now I think it seems to be more desired to be with the masses, to blend, or be as good as or be similar to," Angelina shared. Her children "don't really do" social media, and she hopes they will have to room to figure out who they are before the world tells them. Angelina finds beauty in intelligenc..
