A man was identified as a “person of interest” hours after the deadly Las Vegas shooting in bombshell new documents just released in the case.
It was unclear at the time of publication if Haig would be facing any charges from authorities or if he is currently a person of interest.
Douglas Haig was the man authorities listed as a potential accomplice with Stephen Paddock, who killed 58 people and injured 800 on the October 1, 2017 attack. Hundreds of pages of search warrants were released with Haig’s identity revealed.

“Clark County District Court Judge Elissa Cadish said Tuesday that her staff failed to black out the name in nearly 300 pages of documents released to news organizations including The Associated Press and Las Vegas Review-Journal,” ABC News reported.
Haig’s name was “listed on ammunition package” in Paddock’s room at the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas according to 8NewsNow anchor John Langeler.
Haig reportedly owned Specialized Military Ammunition, LLC, which sold “premium, MILSPEC, tracer and incendiary ammunition in popular military calibers,” according to the website, which also noted “We will be closed indefinitely.”

Paddock reportedly purchased 1,000 rounds of tracer ammunition from a private seller he met at a Phoenix gun show.
Haig told Newsweek that agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives visited him after Paddock’s Vegas slaughter.
Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, was also named as a “person of interest” in the newly released records after the shooting. She was in the Philippines at the time of the attack, but she returned to Los Angeles and was cooperating with investigators.

“Authorities say she’s not likely to face criminal charges,” according to ABC News.
