Bill Maher Rips Republicans Rallying Behind 'Racist' Roseanne — Especially 'Whiny, Little Bitch' Trump

The HBO star describes Roseanne's racist and conspiracy theory tweets as "bordering on presidential."

Bill Maher isn't surprised over "friend" Roseanne Barr's racist tweets and the eventual cancellation of her show.

"My friend Roseanne admitted that she had been admitted to a mental institution," the "Real Time" host said during his opening monologue Friday. "She has said she has multiple personalities and, unfortunately, one of them is quite a racist."

"Now, Roseanne will always be my friend," he continued. "But her world came crashing down this week with a series of tweets she put out on Tuesday that were so full of racism, conspiracy theories and personal attacks they were described as abhorrent, bordering on presidential."

He added, "It is not a mystery to me that a person with a mental illness could be taken in by a party that has lost its mind."

Barr found herself in hot water after comparing former President Barack Obama's adviser Valerie Jarrett to an ape, as well as making fun of her for being Muslim. The tweets — that the actress said were caused by Ambien (LOL!) — caused such an uproar that ABC cancelled the comedy revival. Barr kind of apologized later and so did ABC, but Donald Trump wanted an apology too.

Maher argued Trump is being a "whiny, little bitch" for complaining that ABC has not apologized to him. "Yeah, because no one at ABC compared you to an ape. You're thinking of me," he said, then showed a photo from a previous episode when he compared Trump to an orangutan.

"The snowflakes on the right– and yes, there are plenty on the right, too — tried to drag me into this, saying I should be fired because I compared Trump to an orangutan," Maher explained, setting up for his segment, "Explaining Jokes to Idiots."

He joked "Trump is an orangutan" before explaining, "White people have not been subjected to a racist trope comparing them to apes for hundreds of years." Plus, he's already been fired from ABC nearly two decades ago for a post 9/11 comment.

But it wasn't just Barr or Maher that had a rough week, "Full Frontal" host Samantha Bee also came under fire for calling Ivanka Trump a " feckless c–t" on her show last week.

"I was a tough week for the line. You know the line? The one that comedians sometimes cross," Maher said, adding that "half the country wants Roseanne to go away forever and half the country wants Samantha Bee to go away forever."

Trump of course was pissed after hearing Bee's comments, to which Maher said. "The man who put 'grab them by the pussy' into grade school history books is very upset about the coarsening of the culture."

The HBO explained that Trump had "bigger things" on his mind this past week, like holding "historic talks" with Kim Kardashian, adding that you can Google a photo of the Kim's attending the White House by searching "when America died."

"But if you think about it, it was probably a good meeting. They have a lot in common," Maher said. "They both come from reality TV, they both have their own brands and they both screwed a lot of black people."
