Theo Rossi Mafia Heist Movie ‘Vault’ Snapped Up By The Solution Group

The Solution Group has boarded international sales ahead of Cannes to Verdi Productions (Bleed For This) crime story Vault, which recently wrapped principal photography in Rhode Island. Directed by Tom DeNucci, the feature stars Theo Rossi (Sons Of Anarchy) in the lead role, Chazz Palminteri (Bullets Over Broadway) as crime boss Raymond Patriarca and Don Johnson (Miami Vice) as Rhode Island gangster Gerard Ouimette. The pic is from a script written by DeNucci and B. Dolan.

The movie is inspired by the true story of a group of small-time criminals who, in August 1975, ransacked more than a hundred massive safe-deposit boxes at a secret bank location. The crooks fled with duffle bags crammed full of cash, gold, silver, stamps, coins, jewels and high-end jewelry, pulling off one of the biggest heists in American history by stealing over $3oM from the Mafia.

“What happened in 1975 in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the US, made worldwide headlines and has intrigued us from the start. We are thrilled to add such a film to our Cannes slate,” says Lisa Wilson, Co-founder and partner of The Solution Entertainment Group.

The film marks the sixth feature helmed by actor-director DeNucci (Almost Mercy). Clive Standen (Everest), Samira Wiley (Orange Is The New Black), Burt Young (Rocky I-V) and William Forsythe (The Rock) round out the cast. Producers are Chad and Michelle Verdi (Silence), Nick Koskoff (Bad Hurt) and Matthew J. Weiss. Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Irishman), David Gere and Nicholas Carmona are executive producing.
