Goldman, who has been at Paramount TV since its inception in 2013, has emerged as one of Powell’s key lieutenants as the studio continues its expansion.

“David is a strong leader who thinks broadly about our business and Paramount TV’s interests around the world with a level head and clear point of view,” said Powell. “David was the first employee I hired when we launched Paramount TV and I am thrilled he will continue to be a part of our team in this expanded role as we work together to strategically grow our business globally.”

In less than five years, Paramount TV has sold 22 shows. Its series slate includes the upcoming Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan starring John Krasinski on Amazon; as well as season two of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix; Catch-22, a six-part Hulu series from Paramount Television, Anonymous Content, George Clooney and Grant Heslov; The Alienist on TNT; First Wives Club, debuting on Paramount Network in 2019; Shooter on USA; crime drama Berlin Station on Epix with Anonymous Content; The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin TV; and Maniac, a dark comedy series directed by Cary Fukunaga, starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill for Netflix.

Goldman joined Paramount TV from ABC Studios, where he spent ten years as a business affairs executive overseeing a variety of pilots and series. Prior to that, Goldman was an attorney at the entertainment law firm Grubman Indursky & Schindler in New York, now Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks. He began his career as an intellectual property lawyer at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

“The chance to build Paramount Television with Amy and the team has been a dream come true,” said Goldman.
