Richard Weinstein, who jumped from New York City politics to architecture deanship at UCLA, dies at 85

The former urban design advisor to New York City Mayor John Lindsay became dean of the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Planning at UCLA and was an influential voice in the planning of cities. He was, architect Thom Mayne said, "the last of an era."
