Ralph Fiennes, Matthew Goode Join Gavin Hood’s ‘Official Secrets’
Ralph Fiennes and Matthew Goode is joining Keira Knightley and Matt Smith in Gavin Hood’s next thriller Official Secrets for Eone and Mark Gordon. Hood directed the edge-of-your-seat political/drone thriller Eye in the Sky which was one of the best movies of 2015.

Marking his second collaboration with Hood since Eye in the Sky, Ged Doherty will produce with Elizabeth Fowler (Devil’s Knot) and Melissa Shiyu Zuo. Official Secrets is expected to roll before the cameras on March 12 in Yorkshire, England.
The film tells the true story of British Intelligence whistle-blower Katharine Gun (Knightley), who during the immediate run-up to the 2003 Iraq invasion leaked a top-secret NSA memo exposing a joint US-UK illegal spying operation against members of the UN Security Council. The memo proposed blackmailing smaller, undecided member states into voting for war. In the film, Fiennes will play Ben Emmerson and Goode will portray Peter Beaumont.
Claudia Bluemhuber, Anne Sheehan, Hugo Heppell will be the executive producers.
eOne will oversee production and will finance the project with Screen Yorkshire and Melissa Shiyu Zuo through her company GS Media. eOne will directly distribute the feature film in Canada, UK, Australia/New Zealand, Germany, Benelux and Spain. Sierra/Affinity will represent all other international territories outside of the US.
