Bernadette Peters and Post columnist end long-running feud

Bernadette Peters and Post columnist Michael Riedel ended a 15-year feud at the opening night party of “Hello, Dolly!” on Thursday.
Riedel, who wrote a series of excoriating columns about the actress when she starred in “Gypsy“ on Broadway, got down on one knee at Sardi’s and extended his hand.
“Take a picture!” the “Dolly” star yelled.
Riedel told Peters that he admired her performance — and still has a soft spot for her turn in “Sunday in the Park with George.”
As the party ended at 1 a.m., Peters’ co-star Charlie Stemp was still upstairs at Sardi’s with the young cast, who continued reveling at Dutch Fred’s in Midtown till 3:30 a.m.
