Sean Spicer readies for ‘behind the scenes’ book release

Gum-loving former White House press secretary Sean Spicer was spotted on Tuesday having a business meeting with Barnes & Noble execs at Craft restaurant about his upcoming book “The Briefing.”

Published by Regnery, the tome’s not scheduled to come out till July 23, but is summarized as a look “behind the scenes of his turbulent tenure as President Trump’s press secretary, shedding new light on the headline-grabbing controversies of the Trump administration’s first year.”
A source tells us Spicer spoke with the booksellers about doing a tour and also to share a few “juicy nuggets.”
“People in the restaurant were craning their necks to get a look at him,” a spy says of Spicer — who said in an MSNBC interview on Monday of his time in the White House: “I regret things that I did that brought embarrassment to myself, my family, friends of mine.”
Since stepping down, he’s appeared on the Emmys and turned down a role on “Dancing With the Stars.”
